Path of Exile 2
Believe it or not, the original Path of Exile has been around over 10 years. Launching in October 2013, Grinding Gear Games made their mark on the MMO/ARPG scene with their free-to-play title. Taking inspiration from Diablo and other action RPGs before them, GGG blazed their own path and created what many gamers feel is the perfect free-to-play game... and the perfect free-to-play game monetization.
The company is out to strike it rich twice now with the launch of Path of Exile 2. No, the original isn't going anywhere, these are two different games... but if you played the original and earned or purchased cosmetics, they are shared between games!
Almost everything about the original has received an overhaul in the sequel. While the dungeon-delving action will still be there, flasks, in-game currency, gems, existing bosses and over 100 new ones, the addition of a dodge roll, and more classes with more Ascendancies gives players greater control over their playstyle.
Cross play, cross progression, and even local couch co-op are all included from day one.
Dive into a whole new adventure as a new corruption is spreading throughout Wraeclast. Taking place years after the event of Path of Exile, PoE2 beckons both new and long-time players to try out the new systems in a way the team hopes makes the APRG more inviting (and maybe a bit less intimidating) for new players.
