World of Warcraft Classic Patch 3.4.3 Drops Today, Icecrown Citadel: The Frozen Throne On The 12th
The final major raid in the Wrath of the Lich King expansion opening soon.
World of Warcraft Classic is now a game of frozen thrones.
Today, Wrath of the Lich King Patch 3.4.3 releases; and so Icecrown Citadel: The Frozen Throne, the final major raid in the MMORPG's Wrath of the Lich King Classic expansion, soon follows on the 12th.
This raid includes twelve bosses across five different wings and, similar to Trial of the Grand Crusader, the Heroic mode of Icecrown Citadel has a limit of 50 attempts per week. There are, however, no restrictions or gating for accessing the later wings of the raid…so all wings are fully unlocked right off the bat.
Additionally, the update introduces new dungeons called The Frozen Halls. These three five-player dungeons —The Forge of Souls, Pit of Saron, and Halls of Reflection — are now open. Players can also participate in the Random Dungeon Finder, allowing for queuing into various dungeon types, including Normal Dungeons, Heroics, and Defense Protocol Gamma dungeons. Bosses in Defense Protocol Gamma dungeons drop Defiler's Scourgestone currency, which can be used to acquire item level 245 rewards from Trial of the Crusader 25-player raids.
The patch also includes quality-of-life improvements, such as a new Collections User Interface to gather pets, mounts, toys, and heirloom items into one place. Many of these items are now account-wide, too. Additionally, class adjustments have been made, including the addition of a new skill for Hunters and changes to Druid, Priest, Shaman, and Warlock abilities. There’s Quest Tracking as well, plus updates to daily quests and bug fixes.
Note: Activision Blizzard has been sued by California’s Civil Rights Department, alleging violations of California’s Fair Employment and Housing Act and Equal Pay Act. CEO Bobby Kotick is alleged to have known about the alleged violations within his company. These allegations have all been denied by Activision Blizzard and the company points to additional diversity and inclusion training as past examples of taking the accusations seriously at the time they were made.
