War Thunder Will Introduce The First Aircraft That Uses Stealth Tech In Next Month's "Firebirds" Update
It's tough to take down...but not impossible!
Nighthawks, and Strike Eagles, and more. Oh my!
War Thunder is ready to pull back the curtain on the planned November update "Firebirds," and boy oh boy is this update full of some interesting combat tech. For the first time in the strategy game's history, stealth aircrafts will be added. The American F-117A Nighthawk takes to the skies with a design from head to toe that's made to avoid detection. Special paint, advanced shielding, special wing and fuselage designs, and other design upgrades make the now retired fighter one to watch out for...if you can see it.
It isn't impossible to take down, but in the real world the F-117A flew over 1200 sorties in Operation Desert Storm and not a single aircraft was lost.
Firebirds will also bring the Su-34 fighter-bomber and the F-15E Strike Eagle into combat. Whether it is improvements that allow more distance in targeting of bombs or just an increased payload, both crafts add new options for commanders.
Honestly, whoever cut the trailer for this update did an amazing job. It may be one of the best War Thunder teaser videos I've seen in a while. Make sure to stay tuned to the official site as we learn more about Firebirds.
