Who needs social studies class when we have War Thunder.
In August, players of the strategy game can participate in the "Pages of History" event, where they can take part in battles from various historical events like the Battle for Britain, Falaise Pocket, Invasion of Kuwait, and Operation Barbarossa. By completing eight consecutive tasks during the event, players can earn trophies and rewards, including RP and SL boosters, backup vehicles, premium account time, and camouflage for ground vehicles.
For those who complete all eight tasks, there is a special reward too: a unique player icon featuring David Currie, a Canadian army major who played a significant role during the Falaise operation. He was awarded the Victoria Cross, making him the sole recipient of the honor from the Royal Canadian Armoured Corps.
The event runs from the beginning to the end of the month, and players have a chance to purchase the profile icon with Golden Eagles until September 3. Check out the full blog post for all the details.
