War Thunder Gets In The World Cup Spirit With "Tank Football"
Got enough football fever yet? The real World Cup is entering its final stages (while ours is just heating up), and now Gaijin Entertainment is getting into the mix, with a limited-time football mode that you can play with tanks in War Thunder.
From now until July 9, you can climb into a quick and maneuverable tank to engage in 3v3 (4v4 in premade squads) "Tank Football" matches where the goal is, well, to score goals. The tanks don't fire shells but instead provide a speed boost when the "gun" is activated. Matches are two halves of five minutes each, with overtime tacked on in case of a draw.
If you win a match, you'll get a flaming ball decal to apply to your tanks. Just don't bring live ammo to a friendly match, or else things might get a little Messi.
