War Thunder “Air Superiority” Update To Add Famous Twin-Engine Fighters
Some very modern tanks are begin introduced, too.
Today, Gaijin Entertainment announced the next major content update for War Thunder. Titled “Air Superiority” the strategy game's update introduces the twin-engine fighters Su-27 and F-15 to the fray. It also adds several modern tanks and other vehicles.
The F-15 fighter is one of the most famous American planes of the 20th century. It fought against Soviet-made jets in the Lebanon War and was also heavily used during the first war in Iraq. The jet is still used in the US, Japan, and Israel, and the developers will introduce localized versions of the jet for each of them.
The Su-27 was used in the USSR to go along with the MiG-29. It’s been used during various conflicts, including the war between Ethiopia and Eritrea. The original jet is still used in eleven countries. China uses a local version known as the Shenyang J-11. The Chinese version is also slated to be added.
As mentioned, the update also introduces new tanks. These include the M1A2 SEP V2 TUSK II, a version of the Abrams main battle tank with additional armor. New warships added in this update include the light cruiser the USS Roanoke. Details on all the new vehicles can be found on the War Thunder site.
