War Thunder Adds New Vehicles, Game Mode, Winter Map in Cold Steel Update
Are Game of Thrones-inspired "Winter is coming" jokes still fresh? If so, consider it said for War Thunder's Update 1.51, titled Cold Steel. Except that it's already been deployed, so it's not actually "coming" so much as it is "here." Pop culture references are so hard to get right sometimes...
Cold Steel introduces a new, snowy map, meant to represent a region of Finland, for tanks to fight over. There are also 28 new air and ground vehicles and a few changes to the damage UI to give you a better idea of just how beat up they are. And then there's the new air battle game mode, Enduring Confrontation. Players have infinite respawns, and achieve victory by accumulating points for completing objectives, in matches that can last... well, a really long time.
