War Thunder Adding Two New Battles In Next Season
World War 3 is coming to War Thunder. Wait, that's not quite right ... it's "World War Season 3." Whew, for a minute there, I thought Gaijin Entertainment was going to add nukes.
While that's not the case, the new season will make heavy use of military vehicles from the latter half of the 20th century -- T-80 and Leopard 2 tanks, Mi-24 and Bo 105 helicopters, MiG-21 and F-104 fighter jets -- and they will be used to wage a "hypothetical scenario of a key World War III battle" based on thinking from NATO strategists in the Fulda Gap in Germany. The other new battle coming with the new season is situated on the "Chinese Farm" that was the site of a key tank battle during the Yom Kippur War in 1973.
The new update will also see some players fighting in battles as usual while others server as high-level strategic commanders, moving armies around a map. Expect to see the new content to make its way into War Thunder in the coming weeks.
