Today's New Gwent Expansion Adds Brand New Faction
Today, the Novigrad expansion releases on the Gwent servers adding new archetypes, combos, and play-styles for players. It also introduces the new Syndicate faction. The new faction makes up the bulk of 90 new cards that have been added to the game -- 15 of those are cross-faction. There are also five new leaders, new abilities, and new gameplay mechanics.
To celebrate the expansion's launch, CDPR is giving away free Novigrad Kegs to players who log into the game before July 17th at 11:59 CEST. The keg will grant them five cards from the expansion. There's also a special Arena Mode event. During this, players can draft from Syndicate cards and, as always, a new expansion means new stuff in the store. In this case, there's The Underworld Pack, an expansion-themed promotional offer, available for purchase.
