Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Is Being Turned Into Its Own Franchise And More Content Is On The Way
Fans are going to get more content and possibly new titles.
Players who fell in love with the universe of Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands are apparently going to have opportunities to have new adventures there. During a recent meeting with parent company Embracer Group, Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford discussed the success of the game stating that Gearbox “achieved a major victory this past year with the launch of a new franchise”. He went on to add that the game “shattered [the company’s] target expectations” and noted the “great financial rewards”, meaning the game made big money.
What this all means is that they’re going to keep running with the Tiny Tina train, turning it into a full franchise. Pitchford solidified this with the promise of “future experiences” that are already in development at the company.
As noted by Games Radar, the use of “experiences” could mean a few things. There could be full games, of course, but it’s also likely we’re looking at some general DLC. It’s also worth noting that a Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands 2 has not been announced, but based on what Pitchford is saying, it seems like there’s a good chance.
