Throne And Liberty's New Update Finally Makes Rune Management Easier
The update also adjusts loot tables for guild raid and Riftstone bosses.
Tonight, at 10:30 Pacific, NCSoft will be bringing Throne and Liberty down to implement its next update. The downtime is estimated to last about 3 and a half hours, meaning it’s bringing a limited number of changes to the F2P MMORPG. The biggest focus of this update is the introduction of a new rune management system that includes a new Rune Book UI.
Going forward, players will unlock and level up Runes via the book, rather than having to acquire multiple versions of the same rune. The update also simplifies Rune Synergies by eliminating quality tiers. Rune Fragments are also being done away with, to the point they will eventually disappear from inventories.
The update also makes changes to the Talandre Guild Raid and Riftstone bosses’ loot drops. Going forward these are guaranteed to include a T2 armor or accessory for each kill. Current items will remain in the pool as well.
Of course, the update includes quite a few general changes and fixes. Included in the changes are the ability to paste skill presets as a chat link, adjustments to the crafting menu, food buff fixes in the arena, and more. The full list is available in the patch notes on the Throne and Liberty site.
