Throne And Liberty Interview Highlights Interesting Changes, Including Autoplay Being Disabled...For Now
PvP can be avoided and autoplay is disabled in the West… for now, at least.
During Gamescom, there's plenty of new news about a lot of the games we’ve been waiting on. I’m not going to say “looking forward to”, because it seems like a lot of us are pretty skeptical about new games these days. Although… hopeful. One such game is Throne and Liberty, which the editor of the German site Mein MMO, Alexander Leitsch, was able to spend some time with at the event. He was also able to interview Amazon Games’ Merv Lee Kwai about the MMORPG.
Included in the post on MeinMMO (translated by Throne and Liberty Online) was information on PvP changes, the game’s shops, and the removal of Autoplay in the West.
As it turns out, while Throne and Liberty is still intended to be a PvP game, it will mostly have a PvE world. Combat will be staged in different regions every two or three days, and it will be announced beforehand. This means most players should be able to avoid it most of the time, should they want to do so. In addition, instead of free PvP at night, there will be night dungeons that are PvP-specific.
The other big change being implemented is the removal of Autoplay for the global version of the game. Amazon has completely deactivated it, for now anyway. They intend to keep an eye on how players feel about it and adjust accordingly.
As far as the shops go, Amazon states they’ll not be pay-to-win. The items considered P2W by Western standards have been removed.
