Throne And Liberty Clarifies How Loot Is Distributed As The First Castle Siege Is Scheduled
One of the most advertised features of the MMORPG gets a date for the first time.
Back when I posted my First Look video for Throne and Liberty, I made a point that you should really pick a guild you trust. Yes, guilds play an important role in the MMORPG, but they do have quite a bit of control over loot, too.
On that topic, there's a ton of anecdotal evidence for players getting "scammed" by their guilds, but now the Amazon Games and NCSoft teams have posted a full breakdown of how loot is distributed. For basic party content like open world events, dungeons, and quests, the system works like you probably guessed. If you're near to the content and you contribute with your party (or solo), you'll be part of the loot distribution. Loot will be distributed evenly among your party when possible. If there's extra loot, it'll be assigned randomly.
Where things get more interesting is in the guild activities. These break down into two types of activities: Peace Mode Bosses & Guild Raids and Conflict Mode Bosses.
There are differences in the loot distribution between these. The former is tracked by individual contribution first, not the guild's contribution. On the Conflict Mode Bosses side of things, though, the guild is important. Loot goes to a guild first, THEN a player in that guild. While the guild gets the loot based on contribution, the player within the guild is selected randomly.
It's probably important to be familiar with all the rules since the first Castle Siege is almost upon us. Guilds will want to start prepping now as the first siege lands on November 17th at 16:00 server time.
Assemble your guild, and prepare to storm the castle! 🏰
