The Texas Chain Saw Massacre Will See Lobby System Changes To Combat Leavers
Stop ruining the game for others!
The lobby system in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is undergoing changes to improve overall performance and address player behavior issues.
The developers over at Gun Interactive have identified lobby dodging as a significant problem hindering their ability to investigate and resolve issues effectively. In an upcoming patch on May 14, a three-minute cooldown penalty will be applied to players who purposefully leave a lobby, disconnect from the server, or close the game while in a public lobby. This penalty aims to discourage disruptive behavior and ensure that players remain engaged in lobbies for a more seamless experience.
Players will now receive a warning prompt when attempting to leave a lobby, informing them of the matchmaking cooldown that will follow. This pop-up message aims to clarify the consequences of leaving and gives players an opportunity to reconsider their decision. Additionally, a tooltip on loading screens will remind players about the penalty associated with quitting lobbies. It's emphasized that these penalties will not stack, meaning subsequent lobby exits will still incur the same three-minute cooldown.
Exceptions to the penalty include situations where leaving a lobby is not within the player's control, such as being kicked from a lobby, the party host leaving, or encountering connection issues. These exceptions aim to balance the penalty system by not unfairly punishing players for circumstances beyond their control.
