The Silence Is Deafening: Is This The End For Space Punks?
There's been no communication since February.
It's all quiet on the Space Punks front these days, and that doesn't bode well for the shooter ARPG. There's been no communication from the developer Flying Wild Hog since February, and players are beginning to wonder if it's the end times for Space Punks.
The last update to Space Punks coincides with the last Twitter activity. Update 9 deployed back in February, and there's been no news or updates since then. That's a long time between updates and communication. The last Twitter activity took place on February 14th.

The last YouTube video on the official channel is for Update 8 back in January, while the last Discord announcement is the same as the last Twitter post on February 14th.
Players in the Discord Open Beta channel are openly discussing their feelings that the project has been abandoned at this point, and it's hard to blame them for feeling that way. Radio silence from a developer is rarely a good thing, especially when they don't mention that they're heads down working on the next update. There haven't even been whispers about an update 10 that I can find anywhere, and given the long period of time between update 9 and now, it's not looking like any sort of update is on the way.
It's sad to see a game that had the potential and fun factor of Space Punks just die a silent death and not go down fighting. Even if the player base wasn't large enough to support the game going forward, there should have been some sort of official word on the status of the game by now.
I would love to see some news about update 10 for Space Punks, but the unfortunate reality is that it's not looking good for the game. Things are quiet, too quiet, and they look to remain that way for the foreseeable future.
