The Next New Map Arrives In Guild Wars 2 Next Week As Just One Part Of The MMO's "Repentance" Update
The new PvP Push Mode gets another test in May, too.
The next update to Janthir Wilds comes to Guild Wars 2 next week, March 11th, when the MMORPG's "Repentance" patch launches. If you've completed the story updates added in the previous Godspawn update, you'll be picking up right where that story left off. The titans on the top of Mount Balrior have been toppled, but the blight remains and the titans apparently still have a way to get into Tyria. Yeah, that's not great and you'll need to address that.
Repentance continues to explore mysteries that have been around for almost 20 years now, starting back in the original Guild Wars. As per the team's updated map release schedule, Repentance brings the new Mistburned Barrens map. The map includes three new surveys and the focus here is clearly on providing events that you can join on the fly whenever you show up.
If you cleared Mount Balrior and are looking for something a bit more difficult, the Challenge Mode for the raid will also release with Repentance. Ura, the final boss, will release as a legendary encounter on March 25th.
On the PvP front, Repentance brings the much-anticipated quality-of-life improvements including improved currency acquisition, a new weapon set, health pool updates to keep lords, and more.
Don't forget, there's plenty of events happening over the next few months, too. Hit up the full release blog for all the dates.
