There's A Lot On The SWTOR Horizon, Let's Recap Today's Livestream And Peek At Update 7.5

Today, the Star Wars: The Old Republic team hosted a game update livestream, detailing update 7.4.1. Included in the stream are details on Galactic Season 6 – its story missions and new rewards, new items that will appear are the Cartel Market, the next PvP season, and more. The stream also addressed the Shae Vizla Server transfers and what to expect in Update 7.5.

In Season 6, players will be headed back to Copero to take on three missions via the reward track. The Inrokini Chiss family seeks to learn about other species in the galaxy – particularly their strengths. They’ll have players bringing them records of galactic events to uncover this information. In exchange, players will be able to use the Chiss family technology. This will also lead to unlocking the Copero Stronghold – housing.

Two of the rooms in this stronghold will be unlocked via story missions. Subscribers will have access to three more rooms via the Galactic Seasonal Subscriber Track. More rooms can be purchased with Cartel Coins.

The MMORPG's stream also detailed Date Night Companion Missions, which will offer players a chance to spend some personal time with their favorite companions. These will feature cinematic scenes tied to the companion’s interest and will be available as weekly repeatable missions. The system will roll out over time with Update 7.4.1 featuring four companions: Lana Beniko, Koth Vortena, Arcann, and Theron Shan. The goal after that is to have one or two companion missions released along with each Galactic Season.

The team also discussed the character transfers to Shae Vizla. With the drop of Update 7.4.1, players will be able to transfer to the new server in the Asia-Pacific region. When doing so, they’ll need to have a character of at least level 20 and will be able to take no more than 15 million credits. Subscribers that have been subscribed since January will have 16 free transfers but must use them within 30 days after transfers open. Paid transfers will become available with 7.4.1 and will run unsubscribed players 1000 CC.

Finally, the stream offered a peek at Update 7.5 – a very brief look. This update will be titled “Desperate Defiance” and will take players to Hutta. The update will also bring with it a new Spring event.
