Swords Of Legends Online 2.0

There’s a lot for Swords of Legends Online players to look forward to in the near future – this month, in fact. Today, Gameforge announced the game’s first expansion, The Firestone Legacy, and some additional things that will be arriving with it. The expansion itself will introduce two new classes, Fox Mage and Warrior. The former uses the powers of thorns and blossoms to deal damage. If you’re hoping to play this class as a male character, it is unfortunately only available with the “girl” body type. The Warrior on the other hand has both a male and female type – Crystal Warrior and Spirit Warrior respectively. They each have different masteries but are both suitable as a tank or melee DPS class.

The update will also add new character slots, to allow players to try out each class easily and a new level cap that “will now exceed level 37”. The press release doesn’t say what the max cap is, but it does state that players will now start as Students and remain such through level 36. Upon hitting 37, they will become Sages and continue to increase their mastery. Of course, there will be new zones and new adventures in which to do it, with the game’s storyline picking up at Chapter 11.

Players can also look forward to new five and ten-man dungeons, ten and twenty-player raids, and new 3v3 and 10v10 PvP maps.

That's not all though, there will be a few other things arriving alongside the update coming later this month. First, the game will be making the move to free-to-play. If you’ve wanted to try it out but the cost was putting you off, this will be your time. In addition, the game will also become available to players in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States. Translations are currently in progress and will be added over time, but players will be able to hop on when 2.0 arrives.

Well they lost 90% of their launch playerbase so it only makes sense.
