Play Hide And Seek In Swords Of Legends Online's Halloween Content And Take On More Extreme Raids
Shenzhou has been decked out for the holiday.
Update 1.0.18 dropped in Swords of Legends Online today, adding some fun new content for players. Mostly, the content revolves around this weekend’s holiday festivities for Halloween, but there’s also the addition of the extreme difficulty for two more of the game’s raids as well. Following the release of the extreme versions of Waves in a Tempest and Horror of Huaixiu are Ice World and Ruins of Nuowu. As was the case with the previous two, today’s update sets the stage for the new extreme raids, but players won’t be able to access them until Sunday, October 31 as that’s when the timers start.
In both cases, the recommended item level for the raid is 90 and it can only be entered manually. Both raids drop 60x Hero Tokens.
As for the Halloween content, Shenzhou has taken on a spooky new look that will remain in place until November 18. During this time, players can take part in festive activities such as the Pumpkin Banquet Hall mini-game and “Loving Ducks” which is an opportunity to acquire special pets.
The Banquet Hall game is a bit of hide-and-seek, with some players taking on the role of seekers and others taking on the role of Jaqo Luanters, human pumpkins. The seekers must catch the Jaqo Luanters, but it won’t be easy seeing as how they can both fly and transform into various objects to stay hidden. If at least one of the Jaqo Luanters is still alive after four minutes, they win the game and earn points for every second they managed to stay that way as well as collecting sweets located throughout the map.
Seekers, on the other hand, are armed with a few special abilities – a ranged attack and special sense – to aid in their hunt. They win if all the Jaqo Luanters have been eliminated before the four members are up and earn points for the enemies they defeat as well as collecting sweets. The side that wins the match earns tokens that can be traded for rewards.
As for “Loving Ducks”, players who participate in this event go to the Soul Journey realm with the aid of the Underworld Lantern. There they will need to kill the Turquoise Lantern bosses for a chance to obtain Form Echo Fragments. Players need at least 50 fragments to get one of the available pets – and you’ll likely want both as they’re kind of a set – two lovers that couldn’t be separated by death.
If you’re wondering about costumes, there are some. Specifically, players can find the vampire-themed Embrace of the Night costume in the game’s shop. This even adds the ability to teleport in a cloud of blood. (See the image above.)
Some additional notes…a battle pass does kick off today, but it will be shorter than normal and end on November 18. For this reason, players get additional progress starting today. For those participating in the PvP season, it comes to an end on November 11th.
