Swedish Ground Forces Storm War Thunder In Viking Fury Update
The Vikings are invading -- and no, this isn't a headline from 793. War Thunder's new update, Viking Fury, goes live today and adds a new line of Swedish ground vehicles to the game, as well as 25 new combat craft for other nations. Horned helmets and gjallarhorns not included.
The 30 new Swedish ground vehicles include the U-SH 405 experimental tank destroyer, which comes armed with a pair of rocket launchers; the Pvrbv 551, with its TOW ATGMs and low profile; and the CV 90105 TML light tank, a premium vehicle from the 1990s that boasts thermal vision and a laser rangefinder.
Non-Swedish vehicles included in this update include the Lightning f6 fighter, which can exceed Mach 2; the Strv 122 and its modular composite armor, which sounds really cool; the HMS London sails the high seas and boasts and impressive suite of armaments; and the Apache Ah-64d attack helicopter, which has an impressive radar system, allowing pilots to locate and lock onto targets in the air and on the ground.
The update also makes changes to the graphic engine for War Thunder, most notably updated fire visual effects. A pair of new maps, Denmark for air battles and Sweden for combined-forces battles, also make their debut. Learn more about everything in this update on the War Thunder site.
