Stars Reach Prepares For An Influx Of Players With A Quality Of Life Update Ahead Of Increased Testing
They’ve fixed all those “nagging little issues”.
As Playable Worlds continues to add batches of players, after delaying their Kickstarter, to Stars Reach, they’re taking measures to make sure the experience is more “fun and intuitive” for those coming in. Today, the team announced some quality-of-life changes they’ve been working on for the MMORPG. The list of improvements is pretty long, ranging from XP changes for things like planting trees and depositing resources to introducing an animation that shows items being gifted to someone arcing through the air toward them.
For preview tests, there is an additional change. During these tests only, players will have access to all the tools in the game and be able to equip them without the need to unlock them. In addition, a crate has been added near each portal, offering players a way to get starter sets of building tiles, blocks, and road tiles. Certain skill nodes are unlocked as well. Just make sure you manage your inventory accordingly as apparently deleting items is still a bit of a pain point.
Finally, the devs have also added a new world with large sections of creature-less and buildable areas. This includes a sizeable cave network, a large beach, and the ability to really get into building your Homestead almost right off the bat. Full details on this and all the quality-of-life changes can be found on the Stars Reach site.
