Starry Studio’s Once Human Launches Today, Here's An FAQ You Should Check Out First
Find out everything you need to know about the game via the pre-launch FAQ.
A new F2P, post-apocalyptic, open-world, survival game is available to play today. Starry Studio’s Once Human takes players to a future where everything, including humans, is contaminated by an alien creature known as Stardust. Player characters, known as Meta-Humans, have figured out how to use Stardust to their advantage, but that doesn’t mean it still can’t harm them. Players will need to watch out for not only monsters that were at one time human, but even for contamination in their food and drinking water.
To help beginning players get their bearings in the new game, the developers have published an official release FAQ. This addresses everything from how many characters a player may create to the game’s system requirements. One thing players may want to take note of in the FAQ is the cross-platform feature. Players can log in and play on any platform, so long as they log in on the same account. That said, cross-progression play is not supported on Steam “due to their inherent limitations”.
Also addressed in the FAQ is Once Human’s version of “Seasons”. A server only exists for a single season and has a single scenario that determines the content available on a specific server. This was detailed in a bigger post yesterday. If you missed it, you might like to read Mike’s write-up on the subject.
