Star Wars: The Old Republic Previews Update 7.5 And You Can Start Testing This Week
Still no official launch date at the moment.
During today's Star Wars: The Old Republic livestream it was announced that update 7.5 will be getting a launch date soon. How soon? Well, we don't know, there wasn't an announcement for that announcement.
What we did learn for sure is that update 7.5 in the MMORPG will be getting a new story chapter called "Desperate Defiance". Sa'har will be joining players as a companion during these missions to retake the Holocron and maybe learn more about Heta's plans. We'll also be heading back to Hutta to deal with Ysinduu the Hutt who is totally a completely legitimate businessman, promise.
Players will also have the chance to do a little farming in update 7.5 on a Dantooine Farmstead. Players will go through a quick story arc introducing them to the farmstead and afterward will be given a plot of land for them to tend. The Spring Abundance Festival will let players take part in activities such as seed collecting, dancing, pie baking, animal rehabilitation, and a galactic egg hunt.
The first single-player Venture is coming to Star Wars: The Old Republic in update 7.5 called the Basilisk Prototype. In this new type of content, players will be training up the Basilisk Prototype B3-S1, also known as Bessie. Bessie can become a companion for the player for limited amounts of time until it is completely trained. After gradually working on training, Bessie it can become a permanent companion.
A new PvP season starts with update 7.5, and new High-Republic themed items are coming to the Cartel Market. The Public Test Server will go live later this week to test all of this new content.
