Space Punks Kicks Off Open Beta Today
Hop right in and test out the reworked gameplay and new features.
Today, Flying Wild Hog kicked off the open beta for its wacky sci-fi-themed ARPG Space Punks. The open beta isn't just a chance for players to hop into the game and try out what's already been there, it's also an opportunity to check out some of the changes the developers have been working on. The test launches as part of "The Cracked One" update, which includes reworked gameplay and a new feature named "Get-A-Job". The latter offers players a way to get them into gameplay easily, offering them access to more powerful items earlier on in the game.
In addition, the update also includes new endgame content in the form of an endless dungeon mode titled "The Crack". This is a black hole that allows players to jump dimensions and explore them as long as they want. Players can choose between Common and Milestone versions of the dungeon. The former tasks players with killing a set number of enemies in order to move on while the latter requires players to find and kill the area boss in order to progress.
The update also includes bug fixes and general improvements. Patch notes are available on the Space Punks site.
