Secret World Legends Reveals Update Roadmap For The Rest Of The Year
Secret World Legends has only been out a few weeks -- and not even released on Steam yet -- but according to a recent announcement from the game's developer, it's doing very well. In fact, Funcom CEO Rui Casais said, "it has been years since [they've seen] a surge in player activity like this in the Secret World universe."
Now, that Secret World Legends has officially released and will be making its way to Steam, Funcom has decided to post a roadmap, outlining the content updates planned through the end of the year. Starting with the Elite Dungeons that were added earlier this week, the roadmap contains plans for content and events to be added every month -- with the exception of November. The next content to be added will be in July, with the story line taking players back to Transylvania and the introduction of the game's first event The Whispering Tide.
The Whispering Tide will roll into August, when Funcom intends to add the Tokyo Inner Kaidan and Lair Mega-Bosses. In September, the New York Raid will arrive -- the game's first raid. During that same month the Tokyo Outer Kaidan and Orochi Tower will be added. Then, the end of the year will be rounded out with the traditional Halloween Event in October and the Winter Event in December.
A final bit of the plan is to add Dark Agartha (allowing players to explore the darker areas of the region), an Agent system that gives players the ability to put together a team of agents to send out on missions, and the continuation of the main story line. All of these are slated for late 2017 or early 2018.
If you'd like to take a peek at the full roadmap, it can be found on the Secret World Legends site.
