It's been a while since I've really had anything to write about Secret World Legends. In fact, I figured the next time I mentioned them would be when the annual Halloween content kicked off. But, things are happening. No, it's not new content. Instead, the dev team has been working on rebalancing the game, and changes to dungeons and raids are coming before the end of the month.

On September 29, Funcom will drop what they're calling "one of the biggest updates for Secret World Legends EVER" and it's all based on feedback from players. In fact, the update is so big the patch notes are over 9000 words. Luckily, Andy took pity onus and also posted a bit of a summary on the forums addressing several key points. It's actually not just dungeons and raids that have been changed, but also the Patron loot key system, items and crafting, weapons, and more.

As for dungeons, raids, and scenarios, Elite dungeons ranging all the way up to difficulty 17 are now available for queue. That being said, there are actually seven queue tiers as queue ranges have been merged as follows:

  • Elite 1 - 2
  • Elite 3 - 4
  • Elite 5 - 7
  • Elite 8 - 10
  • Elite 11 - 13
  • Elite 14 - 16
  • Elite 17

In addition "Nightmare" mechanics have been moved to Elite 8 and more mechanics have been added at Elite 14. The new system makes room for new achievements as well. Oh! And if you missed TSW's Penthouse encounter, it's back and accessible at Elite 11.

If you're still one of the dedicated people playing Secret World Legends, you'll definitely want to head over to the site and peruse the full patch notes at you're leisure. I'd suggest maybe grabbing a cup of tea first. It's going to be a solid read.
