Runes Of Magic Celebrates 15 Years In Action With A New Endgame Dungeon Requiring New Tactics
Yes, of course you’re getting extra boosts and item drops, too.
It seems like we have a lot of MMORPGs crossing the 10-15-20-year mark in the last few years, but it’s still kind of a big deal when one makes it that far because so many barely make it out of the gate. When games like Runes of Magic celebrate their 15-year anniversary, that means they have to be doing something right and keeping players dedicated enough to stick around for a decade and a half. Good for them!
Today is – in fact – the fifteenth anniversary of the launch of Gameforge’s fantasy MMO, and they’re celebrating with the announcement of a Timeless Dungeon. This is a revamped version of Runes of Magic’s Mystic Alter and is designed around the endgame.
The new Shadows Over the Altar Dungeon has been reworked so that it’s a challenge for even the most experienced players. To survive the dungeon, players will need to learn new tricks. Relying on the same tactics from the original dungeon isn’t going to work.
Of course, players who complete the dungeon will be rewarded handsomely. A new set of equipment is available to collect. Players can obtain the items directly in the dungeon, or by using Peak Fragments, which will be introduced via a new daily quest.
In addition to the new dungeon, Gameforge is also offering players experience and talent boosts as well as extra item drops in the Necropolis of Mirrors. There’s also an opportunity to win real-world Runes of Magic merchandise. Details on the celebration are available in a post on the game’s forum. Interested players can also find out what the team is doing to improve the game via the game’s latest PM letter.

Its a good game, as I am new game tester I never stayed too long, long enough to get to top as fast i could and leave.
I always thought about the game as in those days the games were minimal but consistent and were easier to game play test all betas and releases, Today's 1,000's of games. weekly daily, mthly. are way too many for one individual to cope with, so as time progressed I gradually could not keep pace and so went for top game co's and game & what is now rare beta releases.
