RIFT’s Upcoming Patch And Update News May Upset Longtime Fans
The update drought continues with no end in sight.
It was not too long ago that the third quarter investor report from MGI—the company that runs Gamigo—stated that RIFT would have a “great update” in the first quarter of 2022.
Well, it looks like that’s not going to happen. Despite going through a bit of a dry spell without any major updates for some time, it looks like the wait will only continue.
While the news arrived on April 1st, to Telerans, this is no laughing matter. The RIFT announcement stated that the update will not be arriving in Q1 as originally anticipated, but rather will be delayed with no predetermined date in sight.
Thankfully, the announcement didn’t end on a down note, but instead provided info on the next patch due to drop in April. Players can expect new quests in the Budgie CTA and reskinned mounts and wings.
On top of what was already mentioned, Battlepass Season 1 has also been reset for everyone. This will allow even veteran players to participate once more and get some “nifty things” in return. Carnival is also on its way, bringing with it masks and Carnival games. Telerans should also look forward to the upcoming 11th Anniversary of the game.
While not the “great update” Telerans were promised, at least a consolation prize of sorts was dished out. Please be sure to check out the official announcement that also briefly mentioned the change of staff with an added new Community Manager.
