Rift Is Running Multiple Events, But Sadly None Of Them Are Actually In The MMORPG Itself

I guess it's better than nothing?

I'm sure I am not alone in my sadness over what's happened to Rift over the years. I'm not "rose-colored glasses" enough to JUST blame the current state of the MMORPG on gamigo. Rift was in trouble back in the Trion Worlds days far before gamigo got involved. Going way back, I thought Rift had one of the best conversions from a subscription-based MMO to a F2P MMO ever.

Over the years, Trion ruined that with dozens of currencies and a clear push to the cash shop.

Since gamigo purchased Trion's library, Rift has been relegated to a running joke. The MMORPG is highly unlikely to see any real updates, and even when we do get news it's less than exciting, even for players that may still be hopping into the game.

Today is no different.

Multiple events are up right now in Rift, but none of them are actually IN Rift. There is, however, a cash shop sale in the actual game, because of course there is.

Fancy yourself savvy on environmental issues? There's a quiz running right now to raise environmental awareness. Take the quiz and get as many correct answers as you can. You can take the quiz until June 12th and 3 winners of 3,000 credits each will be chosen on June 17th.

There will be 3 winners, each receiving 3,000 credit each again, in Rift's other "events." Go find corgis on the MMORPG's socials and fill out a form...how fun. Just SLIGHTLY more fun, and at least somewhat in game, you can take a picture of your character and your favorite companion.

I guess it's better than nothing, maybe.
