Report: NCsoft To Change Company Name, Focusing On More Than Software
NCsoft may be looking to chance the company name, according to a report on MMO Culture. The report states that the company has filed an application to start a new company name "NC", and that current speculation is that that means they're changing the name to reflect the company's broader focus -- which is no longer just centered on software creation.
Reportedly, the name change should take effect by September 2021. While we haven't found a source for this beyond MMO Culture, they did post an image of what is apparently the new logo -- which has "soft" removed from the overall design. The logo can also be seen on the company's wikipedia page and looks pretty much like what we've been seeing at the top of the company's game sites.
