PlanetSide 2 Kicks Off PlayStation 4 Closed Beta
PS2 on PS4 is now officially official! Today, Sony Online Entertainment began the closed beta for its massive open-world FPS, bringing PlanetSide 2 to consoles, at least for those lucky enough to be a part of the testing.
A few thousand total invites went out today, and that number will be ramped up as time goes on. If you're not in the game, you can still register for the beta on the PlayStation 4 section of the PlanetSide 2 website.
The beta is currently only available in the United States, though SOE plans to add other countries to the beta testing family within a few weeks, according to Creative Director Matt Higby:
To those asking about #PS2onPS4 in EU. Yes, we're planning an EU beta. Requires different approvals. Should be opening up in 2-3 weeks.
