Offline Mode, Build From Storage, And More Updates "Incoming" To Nightingale
The developers outlined their priorities, including immediate and short-term improvements.
Inflexion Games, the developers of Nightingale, have outlined several upcoming updates and development priorities (as of right now).
Among the imminent features are new Site of Power encounters, the promised offline mode, the ability to build from storage, and the option to skip tutorials. Additionally, players can look forward to new tilesets, tiered creatures, quests, and NPCs, alongside an NPC behavior radial menu and improvements to tree felling mechanics. These enhancements aim to enrich the experience of the shared world crafting survival RPG and offer more diverse interactions within the game world.
Looking beyond these immediate updates, the team is focused on introducing further improvements and features. This includes additional tool abilities, enhanced enemy AI, expanded NPC functionality, new gear pieces, and the introduction of clothing dyes. These updates are designed to deepen customization options, enhance combat dynamics, and offer more engaging interactions with the game's environment and characters.
In the longer term, the plans for Nightingale are substantial content additions, such as new Biomes, Major and Minor cards, increased build structure capabilities including triangular build pieces, new weapons, and a broader range of enemy types.

Based on the feedback and bug reports for the game, a common request is for more streamlined inventory management, including features like cloud storage chests that allow easier access to resources across containers and the ability to build directly from materials stored within base containers. Players also desire improvements to NPC survivor AI, such as assigning tasks or adjusting follow distances to enhance their usefulness without interfering with player activities like combat.
There’s also requests for encumbrance meters on the UI to monitor inventory load, companion control options to adjust their behavior, and features like auto-sorting of items within storage containers and the ability to split item stacks for better organization. Players have suggested enhancements to building mechanics too, such as the introduction of half walls for more flexible construction options, as well as the addition of dyes for clothing customization and the implementation of a pause state for single-player mode.
