Nilfgaard Faction Announced For GWENT
CD Projekt Red announced a new playable faction for its free-to-play Witcher-based card game GWENT today. The Nilfgaard -- a control and espionage oriented faction -- brings mechanics to the game that will allow for the revealing of cards in the other player's hand. Nilfgaard players can also control the order of cards in their opponent's decks, use "disloyal" units, and commit other sneaky acts to help them win.
The new faction adds over 60 cards to the game, including faction specific cards for the Northern Realms, Scoia'tael, Skellige, and Monsters. There are also some new neutral cards added that can be used by any faction.
Those wanting more details on this new faction can check out the video above -- or read through the patch notes on the game's site. If you'd like to try out the Nilfgaard, you'll want to sign up for the game's closed beta going on now.
