Nightingale Works To Improve Workbenches And Monsters In Latest Test
One creature has become more fearsome.
Nightingale remains one of my most anticipated games of 2024, and the team took time to reflect on the happenings in the latest testing phase.
First up is improvements to workbenches. The VFX, sound, and animation departments have all been imbuing workbenches with a touch of magick. You can see and hear the improvements in the video below.
The creature formerly known as Ishmael has a new name. It is now known as Humbaba and has been endowed with new powers. Its poisonous breath now is fragmented into clusters, and Humbaba now commands a legion of harpies.
Nightingale also introduced off-hand items in the latest test. It is still a work in progress, but players can equip items such as torches, umbrellas, and healing items when holding a one-handed tool.
These all sound like great improvements to Nightingale, and I'm glad the team is taking more time to polish the game and improve things.
