The newest Dev Bites video from Inflexion Games does have a few new tidbits of information for Nightingale fans. However, if you're really waiting for updates regarding Nightingale City, you're going to need to wait until the next episode. The game's team isn't quite ready to release new details on that front.

What's changing this coming week then? First, Nightingale is upgrading to Unreal Engine 5.4. The team, after some serious chat about mustaches, points out that this is just being done so Nightingale is always current with the latest and greatest from Epic's engine. Keeping up with the new versions ensures solid performance and lessens the need to compensate for certain technical debt as the game ages.

Augments and building limit bugs have also been fixed, by the way.

The next update after that will bring in Nightingale's first anniversary (already?!) and what better way to celebrate than to add customization and dye options on your gear. Outfits can look the way you want them to...finally. A new clothing outfit and tileset drops seeing some "Spaghetti Western" styled building materials. Time to get to building your combination Fae/Western monstrosities.

Stay tuned for a second dev video next week going into more detail on the anniversary and the upcoming Nightingale City information.
