New Trailer Offers Brief Look At GWENT Expansion Gameplay (And Some New Cards)
Earlier this month, CD Projekt Red announced the first ever expansion for its free-to-play Witcher-based card game, GWENT. Titled Crimson Curse, the expansion introduces The Witcher 3’s higher vampire Dettlaff van der Eretein to the game.
At the time of the announcement, CDPR stated that over 100 cards would be added in this expansion, and a few of the cards had been revealed on the game's site. However, that and the theme of the expansion were all they were willing to reveal at the time.
Now, the developer has released a short trailer, offering some insight into the expansion's narrative and a (very) brief look at the gameplay. Once again, they're a bit sparse with information, but something is better than nothing.
Of course, the expansion is already available for pre-order -- and will be until March 28. The $40 Pre-order Pack comes with a few goodies, including the legendary Blood Armor leader skin for the Unseen Elder, a Crimson Curse-themed cardback, and 40 Crimson Curse Kegs -- each containing 5 cards from the expansion.
