NCSoft Financials Continue Their Downward Trend In Q3 2023, But Some PC MMOs Are Doing Well
NCSoft's mobile games take a nosedive.
NCSoft is continuing its downward trend in the financials this quarter as its mobile lineup appears to be struggling. Total sales are down 4% from last quarter, while compared to this time last year they are down 30%.
As you can see in the graph below, NCSoft's mobile games are continuing a downward trend quarter over quarter, while PC Online games dipped only slightly overall, with some like Aion and Blade & Soul seeing slight increases in sales year over year. Guild Wars 2 saw a quarterly increase with the launch of the Secrets of the Obscure expansion.
Total sales were down 3% quarter over quarter in Q3, with a large decrease year over year.
Sales were down in every region year over year, with only NA/EU showing a slight increase quarter over quarter.
Throne and Liberty can't come soon enough for the company, I'm sure.
