Minion Masters Has Cash Tournaments, New Twitch Features, And An Upcoming Update
BetaDwarf's Minion Masters is making news today with not one, not two, but three announcements. First off, there's a tournament kicking off today, the Snowsgiving Open: Snowtime Squabble, sponsored by Discord. You can compete for the top spot on the solo leaderboards until Dec. 13, after which the top 128 players will square off until just one remains. There's another tournament, the Minion Masters Snowsgiving Invitational: Wintertime Wallop, which is only open to duos who happen to be Discord Partners. All in all, over $25,000 is on the line, and you can get all the details on the Discord site.
Point the second: If you're watching MM on Twitch, you can now jump into the stream as an in-game spectator. Just type in the !pickme command to increase your odds of landing in the audience, and then you'll have a number of different commands you can use to show your support (or disdain). Learn more about this unique form of participation here.
Finally, if you just want to play the game, there's new content on the way. The Rise of the Howling Moon season will be officially unveiled on Friday. What we do know now is that it will add a new master, Diona the Witch Hunter, eight season cards, four emotes, and four avatars. It also adds werewolves, who transform when reduced below 50% health, so you can never be sure exactly what you'll be up against.
Minion Masters is currently in early access on Steam, where it costs $4.99, but it's free on the Discord store.
