Many Enter And Hopefully One Leaves In Skydome, Entering Early Access In August
Skydome, gamigo's 4v4 tower defense online battle arena (TDOBA? Has a weird ring to it), has almost reached that 'not quite launched, but you can probably go ahead and say launched' stage known as Early Access. Today, the developer announced that they'll be "firing up the servers" for everyone on August 18.
When this happens, the developers will also drop a big patch, titled "Erebus Invasion". This patch will add new features to the game, including a new Champion, Marcus, and the new Invasion system. The Invasion System allows players to take direct control of the Shadowlings, minions of Erebus -- once they've defeated them, of course. These minions come from the jungle and once controlled can be used to attack the opponent's side of the map.
The other addition that will arrive during Early Access is the game's first Battlepass for the season. It will also kick off the rotation of playable Champions in the game's lineup. Those who purchase one of the game's Founder's Packs (ranging in price from $13 to $70) will be able to hop into a game a week before Early Access on August 11.
