Lost Ark Reveals 14 Advanced Classes, Including Extra Detail For Warrior
Have you chosen a class to play in Lost Ark yet? If not, that's understandable, since there wasn't a handy list of them available (to English-speakers, at least). That's changed now, with Smilegate and Amazon making known a quintet of adventuring specializations, and over a dozen advanced classes, for you to pore over and start theorycrafting about.
The five classes are Warrior, Martial Artist, Gunner, Mage, and Assassin, and they all do pretty much what you'd expect from those names. Warriors are "the powerhouses of Arkesia" who strike with "cataclysmic impact." Martial Arists attack at "lethal speeds that can only be described as breakneck." Gunners use all kinds of ranged weapons, from bows to massive high-tech guns. Mages can both devastate enemies and heal allies with their magical attacks. And Assassins channel dark powers to fuel their attacks.
Each class comes with multiple advanced classes to choose from:
- Berserker, Paladin, and Gunlancer for Warrior
- Wardancer, Scrapper, and Soulfist for Martial Artist
- Gunslinger, Artillerist, Deadeye, and Sharpshooter for Gunner
- Bard and Summoner for Mage
- Shadowhunter and Deathblade for Assassin
Each advanced class comes with a wealth of info on their dedicated pages (like this one for the Summoner), so you'll be able to properly select the character of your dreams. Today also saw a post, and accompanying video, for the Warrior and its advanced classes.
Some advanced classes offer unique mechanics, and Amazon plans to use future posts to further explore those abilities and each class's strengths and weaknesses. More classes will also be added to the Western version of Lost Ark in time, as the game catches up with its versions in other regions.
