KartRider: Drift (Finally) Gets A Release Window At Sony's State of Play
I feel like I've been writing about this game forever.
I'm honestly surprised that NEXON's KartRider: Drift hasn't been released yet. We've seen the launch of the mobile spinoff become a pretty big success and we've seen the game featured at almost every NEXON event for the past 3 years.
I remember getting my hands on a beta test quite a while back and feeling like the game was just about ready for launch. Sure, it needed a few more maps and such, but it felt pretty close to being ready.
Fast forward a few years later and here we are, still waiting.
If you're looking forward to the racing title, you still have a bit of a wait as although today's State of Play from Sony did announce a release window, it wasn't a very narrow one. Simply put, KartRider: Drift will release in 2022.
We did get a new spiffy trailer, more confirmation that the game will still be free-to-play, and assurances that the game will be both cross play and have no elements of a pay-to-win nature...but we'll reserve judgement until we've played the title.
The trailer ends by claiming you can sign up for closed beta 3 now on the game's site. Beta starts on December 8th.
