It Only Took 5 Months, But Once Human Is Finally Allowing You To Delete Characters Tomorrow
There's, of course, a few caveats.
Late tomorrow night, at 8PM PST January 1st, Once Human will go into maintenance for an estimated 3 hours. Once the survival game comes back online, you'll finally have one of the features players have requested since the title's launch about 5 months ago.
If you play Once Human right now, you know you have 10 character slots. That wasn't always the case, though. In fact, at launch you only had 1...and you couldn't delete your character. Not only did that create issues with gameplay, but even making sure you were playing with your friends became challenging. The reason you have extra slots right now is because of the backlash to the original setup.
You'll finally be able to clear out those characters you no longer want once the update is live. If you trigger a character for deletion, you'll have 5 days to take back that decision. Once deleted, the character and its entire inventory will be lost forever. Well, kind of. You can contact support if you somehow accidentally delete a character.
You will still only have 10 character slots and a slot won’t be opened as soon as you click delete, so you do still have to wait the full 5 days to get that slot back. Don’t expect to just delete and reroll right away if you have no free slots.
In addition to this feature, the update also beings three new Wish Machine Prize pools for 3 weeks including blueprints for legendary weapons “Raining Cash” and “Jaws.”
There’s a slew of bug fixes and shop additions, too. Make sure to read up on those in the full patch notes.
