Sometimes there's a big benefit to getting a revamped version of an MMORPG that already exists. Since NCSoft plans, for the most part, to stick to the same story in Blade & Soul NEO as portrayed in the original version, new content shouldn't be lacking for a while. The first update to NEO is now live and Moonwater Plains Part 1 brings a new level 50 cap for players to grind out.

In addition to just new levels, the update introduces the Moonwater Plains region (imagine that based on the update's name), the continuation of the MMO's main story, new weapons and gear drops, new heroic dungeons, and other additions.

PvP players gain access to the new Beluga Lagoon battlegrounds. You'll want to review the official patch notes to make sure you understand the mode's rules and timing restrictions. You could also just venture over to the Skyhaven Bastion free-for-all PvP zone if you're just looking for quick ganking. PvE players pick up access to three new heroic dungeons. Blackram Supply Chain, Bad Bug Raid, and Mushin's Tower all offer new boss challenges and rewards. If you're looking for something a bit bigger in scale, three new world bosses are lumbering around looking to munch on a few players. The team has basic guides up on how and when to take on these beasts.

If you finish things quickly, don't worry. The team is planning on dropping part 2 of the update in April and part 3 in May.
