Heroes & Generals Adds New Map And Game Mode
Tired of getting rolled over by a tank or dive-bombed by a plane in Heroes & Generals? Longing for the halcyon days of trench warfare and up-close, man-to-man combat?
The latest update for Reto-Moto's WW2 FPS, named "Young" after US brigadier-general Gordon Russell Young, introduces the new Depot man and Encounter game mode, which sees two teams of infantry fight over a single control point, without any interference from vehicles. New protections against spawn-camping have also been introduced, such as extending "ghost mode" until the player fires a weapon or leaves the spawn area and disabling enemy weapons when they enter a spawn area.
The Young update also gives Americans and Soviets new weapons to play with -- the M1A1 Carbine w/folding stock and the PPS-43 SMG, respectively -- and a tracked German motorcycle for better off-road capabilities. And, if style is your concern, several vehicles have new camouflage and other cosmetic customization options, because hey, if you're going to run people over, you might as well do it with style.
