GW2's No Quarter Update Coming May 26, Adds Map-Wide Meta Event
The next chapter of Guild Wars 2's story will be called No Quarter, and while it won't have any voice acting, it will have plenty of action. A charr civil war is raging, and it will be up to the players to fight for territory in the new zone -- and maybe even negotiate a cease-fire.
The new area is the densely wooded Drizzlewood Coast, which features a map-wide event that has players fighting along the front lines of the war and trying to seize territory from Dominion forces. They'll be able to take advantage of United Legions Waystations, using a new Mastery that will grant "special action skills."
There's also a new strike mission, Cold War, two new weapon sets Tengu Echo and Stormcaller, and a four-piece armor set inspired by the ceremonial garb of norn Bear shamans. That armor set looks pretty cool, but the image of charr wearing fur looks ... well, a little weird, if we're being honest. Then again, World of Warcraft taurens wear leather armor, so ...
