GW2's Next Update Comes Next Week, Bringing New Dragon Response Missions, Allies, And Weapons
Guild Wars 2's Icebrood Saga marches on, with the second chapter of the multi-part finale -- or, as we like to call it, the next chapter that isn't really the finale or else it would be the last one -- coming next week. Titled Power, the update brings four new Dragon Response Missions to Thunderhead Peaks, Fields of Ruin, Lake Doric, and Snowden Drifts, as players must call upon new allies to stave off the destruction of Tyria.
One of those two factions will be available for recruitment at launch, with the second one coming a few weeks later, alongside a new tier of Dragonslayer weapons, which were introduced in the last chapter.
Guild Wars 2: The Icebrood Saga -- Power hits live servers a week from today, on Jan. 19. The next chapter, Balance, will go live in March. According to the roadmap published last October, there will be one more chapter, Judgment, in May and then, hopefully, the End of Dragons expansion in the latter part of the year.
