Guild Wars 2 Welcomes Wintersday Event To Divinity's Reach Today, Adds New Weapon Skins And Other Cosmetics
It's that time of the year again.
Guild Wars 2 players can now celebrate the annual Wintersday event today until January 3 at noon Pacific Time. Participants can earn new Wintersday-themed weapon skins, enjoy several activities, and gain more seasonal prizes.
Wintersday 2022 comes specifically to Divinity's Reach. There, players can experience the Secret Lair of the Snowmen instance, complete dailies to earn a new Snowdrift weapon set, wrap gifts for orphans around the area, snowball fight other players, and tons more.
Progressing the annual Wintersday Traditions meta-achievement will allow players to choose a weapon skin from the new Snowdrift set. However, players can also finish daily achievements for additional chances to gain the skins in randomized Jolly Wintersday Gifts. Moreover, the annual meta-achievement got updated and now gives those who complete it the new Wintersday Snow Boots.
Last year's Embellished Wintersday Gift Bag is purchasable from a Charity Corps Seraph festival rewards vendor. Those vendors will include two new miniatures and Wintersday-themed guild decorations.
Secret Lair of the Snowmen instance now adds the exit portal to the compass, and players will also return to their previous map position before starting when logging out. Alongside these fixes, ArenaNet touched up many festival-related issues seen in past versions.
