Guild Wars 2: Secrets of the Obscure, "The Midnight King," drops on May 21.
The free update for expansion owners, which is the conclusion of the update line, features a climactic finale between the Astral Ward and the Kryptis — offering a new meta event in the Inner Nayos map. Players will be taken to the gates of the Citadel of Zakiros and can enhance their characters with upgraded legendary armor and new relics that expand build potentials. The expansion, according to the developers of ArenaNet, promises a visually and mechanically rich experience.
There’s also The Lonely Tower, a new Fractal of the Mist, which is a unique five-player instance, and a new final boss has been added to the Convergences event — a 50-player PvE encounter, now featuring a harder challenge mode for its bosses.
Alongside these gameplay updates, the release includes several quality-of-life improvements and rewards. The Wizard’s Vault rewards have been refreshed, and a new user interface allows players to customize their targeting reticle's color and shape while using the MMORPG's Action Camera mode.
