Gearbox Forums Are Now Set To Read-Only, Comments Are No Longer Allowed, Heading To Discord
The conversation will continue, just somewhere else.
As of July 19, the categories on Gearbox's forums have turned to Read-Only. This means, regardless of membership status, you will no longer be able to create posts on the forums, but folks will still be able to read previous posts. Members will have 30 days to save any content they want to keep before it is closed. Then, later this summer, there will be a new Gearbox website and here the forums will disappear entirely.
This decision is not to silence the community, but rather keep up with how people prefer to communicate. During the past year, community members have preferred to engage on other social platforms, and looking where the majority of these conversations are taking place, it is time to say good-bye to the forums and hello to Discord.
To players who would like to stay up to date on all the action, they can join the officially supported community Discords, or follow Gearbox on social media. All links are provided here.

It is also a haven for those that can't take the least bit of criticism and want to suppress it easily. I don't have the least bit of respect for developers that retreat into Discord servers. It shows how little they think of input from their customers. If it isn't glowing, unearned praise they aren't interested in hearing it.
