Fractured Online Looks Back At 2021 And Forward To 2022
Beta planned for new year, bringing new continents and races.
It's been quite the eventful 2021 for Dynamight Studios, makers of Fractured Online. It culminated with the MMORPG's publishing duties being taken over by gamigo, but there was a lot more going on throughout the year, as highlighted in an end-of-year developer letter.
Two alphas, one in the spring and in the fall, saw new systems, a graphical update, expanded PvE content, city sieges, and revamped progression come to the game. And while the gamigo news is still fresh on everyone's mind, it's also worth noting that Dynamight also formed a partnership with investment fund and startup accelerator Global Top Round in February, in which Dynamight also said that it would "make sure a future publishing deal is going to leave creative control 100% in our hands." Hmm.
For the year ahead, Dynamight is looking forward to entering beta with Fractured, which will entail at least one full wipe. New features on the horizon include a "major backend update" that will bring "dramatic server performance improvements," new continents, new races (Wildfolk and Demons), and a bunch of new content: world events, seasons, religions, languages, and more.
